How are you funded and how much goes in administration costs?
Answer
We are funded by volunteers making contributions which cover all the trip costs and kind donors like you, who want to make a personal difference. Our Overseas staff cover all their costs personally and several of our UK staff offer their services for free or a small stipend. Our Chief Executive raises his own support and is free on board to the charity. Our projects are funded as 100% of all money volunteers raise goes to the project they are visiting. Where funds allow, the management team also allocate some undesignated funds to projects so as much as possible goes to help those we serve. We strive to be completely transparent about our finances. Mission Direct gives ordinary people the chance to do extraordinary things around the world. In two weeks you will change the lives of some of the world’s poorest people. You can help to build a house, classroom or clinic. We discover people and groups doing remarkable things in their own countries. Then we provide them the people and resources that they need. We do this by enabling people like you, with two or more weeks to join our life-altering trips.
