Bykota School Cambodia

Bykota House School, Phenon Penh, Cambodia

Partnering with High Tower Ministries (www.hightowerministries.net), a  private Christian school

High Tower Ministries, founded in 2004, seeks to improve the lives of widows and orphans in Cambodia.   Their first purpose is to share God’s love and help through participating in four distinct projects:

  • Bykota House is a home for orphaned children;
  • School of the Nations, a private Christian School serving the children living at Bykota House. Instruction and curriculum is in English;
  • Shepherd’s Crook is an outreach to widows and families in crisis or need of assistance;
  • Cambodian Orphan Aid is an outreach project with access to select government run orphanages.

The placement will be working with the children of Bykota House by assisting in the School of the Nations.  The country is Khmer speaking. However school instruction is all in English and native English speakers bring with them the innate ability to teach their spoken language.  Learning Khmer is not necessary to undertake this placement.
