Each year we send out a number of gap year teams,
usually between January and May, which give the chance to be involved in many
different areas of work and ministry. Whatever you do, you’ll definitely have
many opportunities to share the good news about Jesus, and your lives, with the
people you meet.
LEADING A TEAM
There may well be opportunities to lead one of
the gap year teams. If you are a graduate, preferably with at least some
leadership experience, and would like to lead a team then do ask for an
application form. It is a great opportunity for servant-leadership and helping
to lay strong foundations in the Christian lives of the young people who go.
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
We welcome enquiries and applications from people who:

Are committed Christians

Are 18 - 30 years old (16+ for holiday clubs and Encounter)

Are resident in the UK or Republic of Ireland

Are willing to give their gifts, their talents and time to serve God

Have a heart for people, and are prepared to serve others

Are willing, flexible and open to experiencing the challenges of a new culture and way of life

| CASE
STUDY-GAMBIA
Although this is a very
small and predominantly Muslim country, there is an open
door for evangelism. The team teach in a number of
different schools, help run Christian meetings and even
arrange children’s holiday clubs. Often the interaction
with local people, or just spending time with the team can
be a highlight in itself. |
