With placements ranging from a few weeks to a year, there are many opportunities to be involved in a variety of locations. As these assignments are often arranged in a tailor-made fashion, they are generally quite flexible in timescale, role and location. Whether you are a school leaver or a highly skilled professional (or anywhere in between) your gifts and servant-hearted attitude could be valuable in any number of different settings.
OVERSEAS APPRENTICESHIPS
We have a number of exciting
opportunities to spend a year abroad, working within a local
church. Using the 9:38 model, these will be placements with
evangelical churches, normally incorporating practical service,
Word ministry and some formal training. They provide the
opportunity to ‘test the water’ of going into paid ministry in
the long-term and as a precursor to more formal theological
training. Of course, at the same time you’ll be part of a new
culture, meet new people and experience God’s work and His
Church in a different part of the world.
Presently, we have openings in a
number of different countries. The duration would be between 10-12
months ideally, and costs will vary dependent on location. The
idea is that costs of placements are met between you and your
church, but this is something that can be discussed further. These
placements would ideally suit people who already have some
ministry experience.
