Uyowa
Uyowa is a remote rural village dependent on agriculture, mainly tobacco growing, for income. After unpredictable rainy seasons, poor harvests and low tobacco prices, the community is very poor and struggling. It is a very old village gripped by traditional religion. Missionaries have been there in the past but have seen little growth.
Ezron Yuba started by gathering together 7 people, adults and children. After six months his congregation had grown to 15 adults and 9 children. 4 adults were recently baptised and 5 candidates were prepared for confirmation. He has since had the Jesus film team working with him and has seen further conversions.
They have got a site and have built a temporary mud and stick church with a grass roof. They have started to make bricks for a permanent church building.
