Janeviolet, Stafford and Gordon can carry out their studies thanks in part to the funding by Crosslinks and its supporting churches. They, and many like them, are fully committed to carrying God's word to God's world. 

Stafford Mwegalawa

Stafford is studying a Certificate level Ordination Course at Amani. His studies started in September 2000 and will be completed in July 2003. On completion of his course Stafford plans to work in the Diocese of Ruaha. He has previously worked in the Ministry of Agriculture and has latterly been in charge of a village water project. The respect which he commands amongst his own community will stand him in good stead when he comes to share the Gospel.

Janeviolet Kariuki

Born in 1970, Janeviolet is married with one daughter. She is studying for a Bachelor of Divinity Degree in St Paul's United Theological College, Limuru. "My vision is to serve the church and to be better equipped to support its ministry. I was ordained in 1985 and served as a parish priest until I joined this college. My own diocese could not afford to sponsor me, so I have had to struggle hard to find funding. I believe that God has called me to work faithfully in extending his kingdom on Earth. I aspire to be better equipped to serve my master."

A college report on Janeviolet says: "Jane has finished her second year well, and is moving on to her third year. She has been an active member of the student leadership... she has good leadership qualities."
