You and your legacy

Graham Sopp answers some questions

January 2003 index

According to recent research almost seven out of ten people in the UK support charities, but fewer than one in 20 will remember a charity in their will.

I don't know how many of our supporters have remembered Crosslinks in their will but it is an easy way to give and show commitment to the ongoing work of making God's Word known to God's World. Let's ask some of the questions everyone has about wills.

How do I make a will?

All you need to do is contact your solicitor.

How much will it cost?

This varies depending on how complicated your estate is but the average is between £50  and £100.

How do I change my will to include Crosslinks?

It's easy to add Crosslinks to an existing will - just speak to your solicitor.

What should I leave?

You could leave money, property or shares or the residue - what's left after you've provided for your close relatives or friends.

It's often a good idea to specify a fraction or percentage of your estate as it may be very difficult to predict what your estate will be worth or how much you'll need for yourself and your dependants in the meantime.

Rest assured that whatever you can afford will be gratefully
received and will make a real difference to the future work of Crosslinks.
