At the frontiers of MISSION

April 2003 index

Graham Sopp,

Since joining Crosslinks in the middle of last year, I have been continually amazed by the geographical range of people and projects being supported as we seek to bring "God's word to God's world".

True to its roots, Crosslinks is not afraid to work at the frontiers of mission to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to those in need wherever they may living.

The two main features in this magazine illustrate Crosslinks's work at the frontiers of mission. First, the article about Mozambique where our mission partners Richard and Bianca Reeve have been working since the middle of 2002. Mozambique was previously a Portuguese colony and compared with many other countries in Africa, there has been very little evangelism and Bible teaching over the years.

Secondly, the article by my colleague Peter Cottingham about his work on preparing video to be used in evangelism in Afghanistan. All of us know about the terrible repression experienced by the Afghan people in the 1990's and it is wonderful to know that this land is once again more open to the Gospel.

The pull-out section in the middle of the magazine highlights Crosslinks's work at the frontier of mission in our own country as we seek to work with people of other faiths living here.

For Christ and the Extension of His Kingdom,

Graham Sopp

Update on Finances

Our accounts have not yet been audited for 2002. However, I think its safe to say that our shortfall in income will be less than we feared. Thank you for your prayers and special donations.
There will be a full picture of our finances in the Annual Review scheduled for June 2003.
