Some special thanks

In any organisation there will always be a regular turnover of staff, but you will have noticed that this process has been particularly marked in Crosslinks recently. In the next magazine we will give you a clearer picture of the new people coming onto the staff (the new Regional Team in particular), but in this issue it is very important to mark the moving on of a number of our staff team members. We want to express our gratitude to God for what these people have contributed to Crosslinks over a greater or lesser period.

Olly Leonard

Olly Leonard will be known to many through his role within Crosslinks organising the short-term Smile programme and the BEST study partner programme. Latterly Olly was taking on a whole range of other jobs in the London office. He moved on at the end of 2002 and we thank him very much indeed for all that he gave to Crosslinks during his time with us. We wish him well for this next phase of his service to God. Thank you, Olly.

Margaret Harding has worked in the London office for a good number of years. She has been our main person in maintaining the database of our link churches. She has been a mine of information on that, and she has also developed a reputation for keeping other members of staff up to standard (eg the wearing of cycle helmets). We shall miss her as she begins this next exciting phase. Thank you, Margaret.

Ester Dyal has been with Crosslinks for even longer than Margaret and Ollie. I have particularly valued her sensitivity and the concerns she has expressed to me on a number of issues. She has also developed a very good reputation as an excellent cook for the occasions that we have shared meals together in the office. Thank you, Ester.

Richard Rogers left us in January to take up a new post in the Warminster area. Richard has been our South-West Regional Co-ordinator for three years. We are very grateful to him for his dedicated working in that large area, and we know that many will miss his input and the many networks that he has developed. Thank you, Richard.

Liz Jackman left Crosslinks at the end of February and moved on to a similar role for CMS. Liz has been with us for five years and brought huge experience from her time in Namibia. She carried out the big move from the network in the south-west to taking on the north-east region, and has always been particularly sensitive to the needs of mission partners. Thank you, Liz.

Once again we recognise with great gratitude to God the distinctive contributions made by all the people mentioned here. Thank you, Lord.
