A diocese may have opportunity and personnel but lack funding. So Crosslinks runs a Project programme as part of its mission menu. Each year proposals from around the world are selected using Crosslinks priorities and distinctive to ensure that they play a part in our mission strategy.

Projects are an easy way for a group or an individual to become involved in the work of the Gospel. £10, £50 or £500 can help to support the struggling Church in Myanmar (Fund MYP) or buy a set of Christian reference books for Ethiopian clergy (Fund EBS).

Crosslinks has always put on a great emphasis on Bible teaching to ground the church in the Word of God and to enable others to share the Gospel of Christ. The BEST scheme supports individual students but there are several projects which enable the training of large numbers at minimal cost by using Theological Education by Extension (TEE). The levels offered vary from certificate to a second degree. Some countries train individuals, others use the scheme to train their clergy or to provide ongoing education. Projects are running to support TEE training in Karamoja in Uganda (Fund
KTE) and the Dioceses of Mount Kilimanjaro (Fund TKP) and Ruvuma (Fund RTE) in Tanzania. |
The Association for Theological Education by Extension in India enables over 6000 people to grow in their faith each year through the Certificate Programme, and they also offer first and second degree programmes. Students continue to work as they study and so put into practice what they learn while they are studying. Crosslinks helps towards staff salaries (Fund TFP).
Karamoja is an historic Crosslinks planted diocese. It suffers from drought and continued lawlessness. Crosslinks is helping with a top-up fund for pastors so that they can afford to remain in their parishes, rather than needing to find a better paid job. Such commitment is vital as the
Karimojong are still largely unevangelised. (Fund KTF) There are also projects to provide the bishop with travel expenses to move around his diocese, often a dangerous task (Fund KBF) and to support the work of Mark Angella, (a former study partner) as Schools Adviser (Fund KSA).
Long time supporters of Crosslinks will know the names of Kachwa and Robertsganj (now Jiwan Jyoti) Hospitals in north east India. Each year we help to meet capital expenses and building investment and to provide charity care for the poor (Fund EH2).

With the help of executive assistant, the Anglican Church in Tanzania can take on the roles of encouraging the sharing of resources, networking of both people and information, and improving communication between dioceses. Crosslinks is working with two other agencies to guarantee the initial salary (Fund ACT). |
In the UK projects support the work of Wilson and Rebecca Gill, Asian workers in Slough (Fund
WRG) and Faith to Faith, a networking organisation which helps churches and individuals to reach out to those of other faiths (Fund F2F). Youth work in Ireland is a very exciting part of the Crosslinks outreach touching the lives of young people and helping in their Christian understanding and growth (Fund YW2). |
Crosslinks projects need your involvement. Thank you for showing you are part of the World Church.
