For most people attending camp is a real buzz – a chance to make new friends, try new things and most importantly learn more from God’s Word. Both the Junior and Senior Camps this year are jam-packed with adrenalin-rushing activities as well as quieter more focused times to delve into God’s Word and to think about God’s world.
Camps have two main teaching sessions each day. The session in the morning has an overseas emphasis, and this year we will be studying the work of
Kubatana, an organisation working to help relieve the suffering caused by AIDS in Zimbabwe. The evening session is a good chance to spend time getting to grips with the Bible. Teaching at both the Junior and the Senior Camp this year is on the book of Jonah (so we’ll all have a whale of a time!). Through Jonah we’ll see that God is a God of mission, and a God with a plan to reach all people with the good news of the Gospel.

Please pray for the camp ministry this year. The following gives you
some ideas for prayer:
-
That all the campers will come ready to hear from God’s Word
-
For the leaders as they teach and share the Gospel with children and
young people
-
For all the practical arrangements and for safety
-
Effective follow up and support when the young people return to
their parishes
