Danilo
Since becoming a Christian, Danilo has developed a ministry in his home church in southern Serbia and has been selected for study at Teoloski Fakultet - Novi Sad (NSTC), Serbia & Montenegro. After qualification in a year’s time, Danilo will be better equipped to do evangelistic work and help the church elders with humanitarian projects. He will also be involved in community visiting and ministering to believers.
‘Paul’
‘Paul’ will complete his course at Mandalay University Medical School, Myanmar in 2009. He is the first and only medical student from Sittwe Diocese where the bishop recommended his sponsorship. It is one of Crosslinks’ strategic goals to support the church in Myanmar. ‘Paul’ has been active in St Mary’s Church, Mandalay, and will return their after his training.
Yusuph Oscar Nkomola
Yusuph comes from a very poor area of Tanzania – the traditionally Anglo- Catholic Diocese of Ruvuma, where the bishop has invited Crosslinks to help with training. As a church catechist, Yusuph participated in evangelism, attended seminars on leadership and church planting and in 2001 started a congregation, the Lisau Church. A Certificate of Theology from Amani Christian Training Centre, Iringa will enable him to train others to understand the Bible and organise groups to propagate the Gospel.
Gladys
Gladys comes from southern Sudan and will study at Uganda Christian University to qualify as a social worker or counsellor. On return to Sudan she hopes to be involved in community development and women’s education. Christians in southern Sudan have been extensively persecuted. Gladys loves to share her faith and although life has been very tough, with her faith often tested, she trusts God.
'Barnabas'
Since dramatic events over several years ended in him becoming a Christian and leaving his home in Delhi, ‘Barnabas’ has led many people into a relationship with Christ. He and his wife share a passion for the churches in North India to be more effective in outreach. ‘Barnabas’ will pursue a degree in Islamic & Middle Eastern Studies.
