Study Partners today who will benefit the churches tomorrow

We recently received encouraging feedback from a BEST Study Partner at Carlile College, Kenya, who is supported by St.Andrew’s, Stanstead Abbotts. Here’s what excited him about the course so far: “The college is evangelical and mission orientated and the practical placements and missions we have attended have made an impact in the peoples’ lives as many receive Christ and some get
healed. Also the way we are being trained to become servant leaders is very good. And the sound doctrine has made me continue knowing the Word of God better.”

Our BEST study programme continues to sponsor the training of national Christians
in various colleges in the UK and throughout Africa, East Asia and Europe and also by extension. Here are just some examples of the Study Partners who are currently benefiting from the scheme.

Kedmon

Kedmon who comes from the Diocese
of Ruaha in Tanzania is studying at
Amani Christian Training Centre for
a Certificate in Theology and Pastoral
Studies. Prior to going to Amani, he
worked as an evangelist in Ruaha
and after completing his studies he
hopes to be an ordained minister.
He is married and has four children.

Cristóbal Cerón

Cristobal who comes from Chile is
being sponsored by Crosslinks to
complete a undergraduate degree
at George Whitfield College in South
Africa where he will be accompanied
by his wife. Before going to college,
Cristobal worked in church planting
and evangelism in Chile and, on
completion of his studies, would like
to train others in this work.

Everlyne Tirop

Everlyne comes from the Diocese
of Kitale in Kenya and is studying for
a Diploma in Theology at Berea
Theological College. Prior to beginning
her studies, she served in her home
parish as youth secretary and as a
Sunday School teacher. After her
training she hopes to work in Christian
training and church planting.

TAFTEE

Every year Crosslinks supports students
on the TAFTEE (The Association for
Theological Education by Extension)
programme operating from Bangalore
in India. At the moment there are
almost 5,000 studying in programmes
which range from certificate up to
doctoral level. Crosslinks is sponsoring
23 students on the Masters programme
operated in conjunction with the
Oxford Centre for Mission Studies.
Most of TAFTEE’s students are older
and already involved in ministry
in their home churches. Theological
Education by Extension allows these
leaders to remain in their homes, with
their families, churches and
communities, while deepening their
understanding of theology and
practical ministry.
