“He handed out gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist, and pastor-teacher to train
Christians in skilled servant work, working within Christ’s body, the Church, until
we’re all moving rhythmically and easily with each other . . .”
Ephesians 4: 11-13 in “The Message”.
Paul’s words to the church in Ephesus came across to me afresh when I read them
in “The Message”. I was struck by the parallel with the idea behind Crosslinks of
trained, biblically-based members of Christ’s body, the church worldwide, working
in harmony together while each works within their own territory either in local or
cross-cultural mission.
Around this theme of ‘Working from Within’, we’ll be finding out more about local
mission in South-East Asia from the Bishop of Singapore and the Archbishop of
Myanmar (Burma), where Crosslinks is developing new links with the Anglican
churches. We also hear from our own Mission Partners, Stephen and Katie Reaney,
working for the Gospel within their role as doctors in rural Tanzania.
