From little oaks grow mighty acorns

January 2005 index

In this edition we look at some of the ‘oaks’ that have been grown from the faithful planting of God’s Word through the work of Crosslinks. As you read I trust you will be amazed and encouraged at the way God has used the faithful proclamation of the Gospel to produce so much fruit.

Who would have thought that the work in Belleville would produce so many ‘knock on’ effects elsewhere in the world? Be encouraged – from France to Togo, across Africa and Asia and, often in the most unlikely and seemingly barren places, God is growing his church.

The planting of Gospel ‘acorns’ bears fruit sometimes many years afterwards and frequently in ways far beyond the initial work. Crosslinks supporters like you and me are part of a planting process that is producing much greater spiritual returns than we dare to imagine.

The planting must go on, especially in these difficult times. That is a responsibility of us all – to take every opportunity to plant the acorns of the Gospel. One thing is for certain: if the acorns are not planted there will be fewer oaks

Happy planting!
