Rev Wilfred Moss 1910 – 2005 With the homecall of Wilfred Moss on 5 January 2005, the Society has lost one of its most loyal and influential members. Always deeply committed to the Word of God, he encouraged others to read it daily. Born in 1910, ordained in 1935, he was a supporter of the Society throughout his ministries in Preston, Buxton, Manchester and Sidcup. He was on the General Committee from 1945 until his retirement in 1975 when he continued his Bible ministry in rural Somerset. As a Vice- President, his gracious presence and ready wit will be especially missed at the South West Conference.
Coming home Bill and Sara Goodman with Matthew, aged ten and Anna, aged nine, have returned from Ethiopia after six years in Addis Ababa. Bill was training church leaders at the Mekane Yesus seminary and teaching at the Ethiopian Graduate School of Theology. Sara, also a teacher, supported children with special educational needs at the Bingham Academy. For the next seven months they will be based in Charlecote,Warwick. Please remember the children as they settle into a country which as yet is not ‘home’.
Celebrate! You may remember us thanking one lady who had requested that donations be made to Crosslinks in lieu of birthday presents. Since then we’re grateful to those of you who have chosen to use your times of celebration to help others. One couple who used their wedding to help others, explain why: ‘We have a number of friends who are supported (and much encouraged) by you in other countries and we are therefore delighted to be able to support you in this way. We will endeavour to pray that your work would bring much glory to God throughout the world.’

Continuous Caring Crosslinks is looking for people who are prepared to give and pray regularly for our work. As we support people long-term we are thankful for those who give on a regular basis. The amount may not be large. If 18 people were to give £4 a month then we could pay the fees of a study partner. For example, Catherine is studying in Kenya, preparing to support those struggling as single parents. This may be where HIV/AIDS has claimed the life of a parent. If you would like to give or pray regularly please contact Karen on 020 8691 6111.
Gift Aid Don’t forget - if you are able to sign a Gift Aid your gift can be worth an extra 28p for every £1 that you give. If your tax situation changes just tell us.

Bibli-mericks There have been a few laughs at the 251 office over a new booklet of limericks written by Rev R Harold Smith depicting the gospel of Matthew in limerick form. Harold has been supporting Crosslinks since the 1940s and has been sending the proceeds from his limericks to Christian mission. If you would like copies either for yourself or as an amusing small gift then please write to Harold at 22 St Walstan’s Road, Taverham, Norwich. NR8 6NG. The suggested donations are in brackets: ‘The Gist of Genesis’ (£1.50); ‘Word and Deed’ (John) (£2); ‘Luke this way’ (£1.50); and ‘Matthew Mainly’ (£2). He asks that you send an A5 self-addressed envelope and says that if you would like all four booklets he suggests a donation of £6. Please say that you are writing in response to Crosslinks’ magazine so that the donations can go to where the needs are the greatest in Crosslinks.
Find a friend If you would like a copy of the magazine to pass on to friends or family then please call Lynda on 020 8691 6111.

Two ordained Paul Hunter of the Morogoro Bible School in Tanzania and Dan Button of the Uganda Christian University were both ordained in December. They will go on teaching, much encouraged by the affirmation of their bishops and colleagues.
