Happy Birthday Crosslinks

October 2005 index

On 27th October 2005 we are celebrating Crosslinks Day. It was on that day in 1922 that the Bible Churchmen’s Missionary Society was born. We would love you to join us in making this a special day around God’s World.

There are a number of ways in which you might like to join in: organise an event or prayer meeting, join us in the London office, or on Friday 21st October Irish Crosslinks supporters are invited to join us for a Crosslinks Celebration meal in the Craigavon Civic Centre. Why not come and find out more about us and join us in praying for our work?

If you would like to organise an event or prayer meeting please call to request an events pack (by post) or specify what you might like to do and see what we can offer. Available by post or on the website (click here) will be:

  • Prayer Call: an interactive CD with prayer points and information

  • Events pack: an introduction to leading an event

  • Flat pack events: specific event suggestions, eg. ‘A Tea for Two Worlds’

  • Sunday School pack: with various streams for different age ranges

  • Sign up postcards: for those coming to the event to request more information on Crosslinks

  • Information on mission and study partners

  • Multiple copies of the magazine

  • Crosslinks hymn

  • General leaflets

  • Prayer posters

You might like to organise something simple like a tea morning at home with prayers – or something bigger like a bring and share meal at your church. We’re hoping that supporters, staff, mission partners, associates, members and study partners will join together to make this a truly worldwide event.

Do get in touch to find out more. Whatever part you might like to play please contact Karen Scutt on 020 8691 6111. Or, for more details about the Craigavon meal, call the Belfast Office call 028 90 796028
