Alan Purser leads the London based team. He is responsible for the direction, planning and strategy of the team, as well as training and teaching the staff and two apprentices. He is involved in Bible teaching ministry amongst churches and evangelical training institutions, enabling them to engage with mission at home and abroad. Alan also supports new mission partners in establishing effective and mutually supportive links with local churches.

Harriet Smith, based in the London office, is the Church Partnerships Co-ordinator. She serves all of our supporter churches through regular communication, as well as coordinating the raising of support for mission partners and planning Church Partnerships Team visits. She is also responsible for working alongside the Mission Personnel Team in arranging the schedules of mission partners when they come back to the UK for home leave.

Tim Houghton, based in Derby, works in Church Partnerships Support. Tim’s work includes serving the partner churches in Bible teaching ministry, and helping churches to think through their current mission focus, especially as mission partners come to the end of their service. Tim is also responsible for developing a mission consultation to help churches think through their mission involvement.

John Martin, based in Croydon, works in Church Partnerships Development. John is responsible for establishing new partnerships between churches and mission partners, as well as encouraging deeper involvement from churches through regular communication and preaching. He will also liaise with Anglican diocesan mission boards and the various national church conferences.
