word and deed

The stated aim of Crosslinks is to preach the Gospel to every creature. Yet we
are not at liberty to neglect people’s physical needs when Christ himself would
have responded and expects us to do so in his name.

How do we bring together these two statements? Through the varied ministries
carried out under the name of Crosslinks. Colin and Hazel Maunsell’s literature
ministry in Ethiopia; Lucy Hovil’s advocacy work for refugees in Uganda;
Camilla Symes enabling those involved in the AIDS epidemic – these are the
lifelong responsibilities of the ‘born again’ child of God, the Christian, as we
see in Article 10 of the Crosslinks Basis of Faith.

How rich is God’s family when we work together to share the Lord Jesus!
