Crosslinks has a growing number of workers in Great Britain who are encouraging the Church to engage in mission to unreached groups and challenging the widespread decline in declared Christian obedience.

Kola and Ada Ajomale are from Nigeria but met at All Nations Christian College. Initially they worked with YWAM in Denmark, training, evangelising and encouraging prayer.

Through Crosslinks, Kola and Ada are now developing that ministry in the UK. Kola is Youth Minister attached to St Matthews Church in Walsall. “It’s not a big group and we are still praying for growth.” Kola meets with the young people twice a week, socially and for Bible study to encourage their faith and help them to pray. There are also opportunities at a local school, taking assemblies and working with the Christian Union. However, St Matthews is not alone in its youth ministry. Kola has been meeting with other youth leaders in the area to plan outreaches and strategies to reach other young people. They are planning a detailed study on evangelism with their young people, and taking them on mini-outreaches. Our nation’s spiritual health depends on people like Kola and Ada, their young people, and successful outreach in the wider community.

Crosslinks Associates Tim and Tanya Davies are involved in church planting in Sheffield.

Under the mother church, Christ Church Fulwood, Tim and Tanya have planted Christ Church Central as a church for people who don’t go to church. Meeting in a local school, it aims to make the message relevant for people who are not used to a formal church setting and to help the congregation understand the basics of the Christian faith. The church is developing several non-Christian networks in order to bring them into contact with Christians and the Gospel. Tim and Tanya are greatly encouraged by the significant number of new contacts and non-Christian friends who have begun to join them regularly on Sundays. “They seem to appreciate the hospitable but simple style of our gatherings, the regular ‘Christian Story’ (testimony) and ‘What do Christians believe?’ (doctrine) slots, and the interactive Bible talks.”
