Welcome to those visiting the UK on Mission Education, or returning permanently: Keith and Elizabeth, James and Caroline and Pradip and Amita. Congratulations to Sarah and Andrew Keene on the birth of Matthew (pictured left), Simon and Rachel Dowdy on the birth of Jemima, and James and Caroline Poole on the birth of Jonathan (pictured right ). 

Welcome to Julia Smith who replaces Harriet in the Church Partnership team; best wishes to Harriet in her new role at a nearby church. 

Questionnaires 

Thank you to those of you who answered the questionnaire. We still have a few copies to give away of a book co-authored by Ida Glaser. Please send a C5 sized SAE (23p) to the London office. (UK only)

Looming Famine 

Thank you again to those who gave. One mission partner wrote: ‘We had an exciting day on Friday distributing this food to 94 members of staff. Some were in tears and all were amazed that God had heard their prayers in such a miraculous way.’ Please continue to pray for those who are still struggling. 

RIP 

Elizabeth (Betty) Cartwright died in June 06 in Donegal, Ireland. She and her husband Peter were with BCMS in Karamoja, Uganda 1953-64. Betty developed the Lotome Teacher Training College and Peter built many schools and churches. They left a valuable godly legacy. 

Competition! 

Thanks to a kind donation we have some lambs as prizes for the best drawings on the theme of ‘Sheep being cared for"’. The top three drawings in each age category will receive a cuddly lamb and the top pictures will be used in promotional literature. RIP 

Bishop William Waqo, Provincial Secretary of the Anglican Church of Kenya died in a plane crash in April 06 while on a peace mission to north east Kenya. He was also an Assistant Bishop of Kirinyaga Diocese. Pray for Naomi and their children. 

Higher Rate Tax 

If you pay 40% income tax and make Gift Aid donations you can tick a box on your self-assessment tax return to ensure even more money will go to Crosslinks. So, for every £1 donated, Crosslinks claims not just 28p in Gift Aid but another 23p as well.
