What would you say
...
...if God was calling you to Christian ministry, but you couldn’t get together enough money for your training course?
...that your Diocese saw your potential to help where community needs were not being met?
...if courses were available, but your family might not have enough to live on while you were training?
Would you say that it was...
...really worthwhile to get training for church and community workers on a proper footing? |

What does BEST
do...?
It partners churches, individuals and trusts in the UK and Ireland with individual study partners and organisations in needy countries. One of Crosslinks’ priorities is to train trainers. By enabling one person to train as a trainer, many more people can be impacted for God.
What are the benefits of BEST...?
-
BEST demonstrates a respect for those of other cultures – we are all involved in mission
-
Local training means training is culturally relevant
-
Funding goes further since most study partners are training at institutions in their own, or neighbouring countries
-
Ability to complement existing ways of doing mission. For example, mission partners can suggest study partners to the BEST selection committee who can be trained up to take over from them after they leave
-
Serving the Church in the most appropriate way may mean selecting someone outside the UK to meet the needs
-
Lack of funds should not rule out the most suitable candidate
The study partners we invite you to sponsor may speak little or no English – so correspondence with them is often limited. However, we aim to keep you updated via their Colleges or study partners themselves. |
