What will you be doing at Crosslinks?
I will be taking over from the wonderful Joanne as Administrator in August. It’s going to be challenging but I’m really looking forward to it.
Tell us a bit about yourself…
I live in Belfast and have been married to Robert for 19 years. We have been blessed with three daughters, Hannah (14), Katie (12) and Rachael (9), and a cocker spaniel named Buddy! I attend St Elizabeth’s church in Dundonald which in recent years has undergone some exciting changes. I am a vestry member and am also church treasurer. Free time is spent reading books, watching a DVD, trying to understand teenagers and eating chocolate.
(Note from editor: With experience of teenagers she should be able to manage
the other staff, but she didn't say whether she can make tea...)
Will working at Crosslinks be different to your last
jobs?
Yes, I worked for a bank for 18 years and then ‘retired’ when the children arrived. That’s when I knew what hard work was! More recently I was a Special Needs classroom assistant for five years. That was a great and rewarding experience for me.
Why Crosslinks then?
There has always been a strong connection with my church and Crosslinks. This combined with the great Bible teaching at St Elizabeths made me think about how I might serve the Lord in some way on a full time basis. As always the Lord’s timing is perfect, I had just ended my contract in June, and He put this opportunity before me a few days later. When I first became a Christian a good friend gave me a bible and marked Proverbs 3 v 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.
So you’re looking forward to working at Crosslinks then?
Absolutely, it will be great to make new friends and see some old ones. Darren was our parish apprentice at
St. E’s. I see he still supports Arsenal – ah well nobody’s perfect!

Come back soon for another out of depth interview!
