Roseline letter doing well despite some glitches

As you may know in our last magazine we mentioned that we were looking for more regular givers to help Crosslinks to prayerfully plan for the future.

We wrote to just under 3,000 supporters to ask if they would like to pledge to support our work in taking God’s Word to God’s World.

Featured in the letter was Roseline, one of our
best students. The letter explained how Roseline, who teaches in Uganda, uses her summer holidays to train so that she is able to provide quality education to primary school children. This is essential since she would otherwise be working as a teacher with a limited education herself. The letter went on to explain the importance of our faith, an essential element which underpins Crosslinks’ work.

For those who preferred not to give there were also options to be removed from receiving appeals for money and in some cases the ability to request information on becoming a member of Crosslinks.

Unfortunately a computer glitch meant the letter went to some of Crosslinks’ current standing order supporters. Karen Scutt, who co-ordinated the mailing says: ‘despite numerous checks it seems that some people got this mailing who we had not meant to write to. I’d like to apologise to anyone who received the mailing incorrectly and encourage you to contact me so that we can update your details where required.’ The good news is that a number of people have responded by giving a regular gift. Roseline has now started her course.

If you got the letter, or if you would like to see a copy of it please contact Karen on 020 8691 6111.
