Dear Family
Thank you for your prayers, gifts, support since Afris death in May. Also some have rung up our prayer distributor and wanting our news. I will continue as a Crosslinks associate but not sure yet of future plans yet. God has been a good, caring provider.
After funeral-God continues to Move in Birmingham
A lady from Sikh background said she saw Afri’s face shining in the funeral in May. She, after attending some meetings, accepted the Lord. Her daughter followed shortly after. This was an encouragement that God is very much around. This lady, K, we have mentioned in the past continues to grow in the Lord.
Also an English neighbour we have shared with in the past has been touched since the funeral and wants her children baptized and has questions about life. I had some very good visit with my vicar to her home recently. She asked me to be Godmother! They have been coming to church for two weeks and enjoy it. I attended the baptism of a believer from a Sikh background who was baptized with his wife. He is the fruits of Afri's ministry.
I also have had ladies I know ask, well you seem to be smiling – I tell them it is Jesus as I cry a lot too. One asked does Jesus make difference and I am able to honestly say how God has carried me and looked after me and the boys. Great opportunities to share.
Family News
I have started helping at a mother and toddlers on Thursday mornings. All the boys excelled in their studies. Simeon had a few A+’s and A’s and B in the GSCEs he took early at 15. Benji was the child of year again. Judah was top of his class in many subjects. They all are part of the church worship group and bless many.
I still have outstanding paperwork. Also the roof continues to leak after work done badly since explosion last year. My insurance broker is helping and ensuring it is rectified, so praise God for that. The survey done on our home by a Christian who did it well and confirmed that it was “ingress of water due to bad workmanship” and all will be corrected by the insurance company
We do struggle with all that has happened and at the loss of Afri and changes in life. We miss him but have to go on and trust God to continue to sustain us.
