Dear friends,

1. We thank God for a terrific last few weeks which have seen more people coming along on Sundays including a good number of visitors. Last month we requested prayer for a regular fringe and although it would be pressing a point to say we’ve ‘got one’ at least there has been more buzz on the fringes. Praise God our meetings have been terrific. Pray for us that we would not get discouraged as our numbers inevitably decline over the summer.

2. Also last month we gave thanks for one of our number who has clearly come to a living trust in the Lord Jesus and this month we can report of someone else who has come to faith. He doesn’t live in Newcastle but the ministry of Christ Church has been very important in his progress. With the angels we rejoice!

3. Thank you for praying for the Newcastle Ministry Training Course which has now come to an end. It has been so important for a number of Christ Church people.

4. We are delighted to have appointed our first paid member of staff who begins part time in September. Anne Oyewole has been a member of the congregation this past year whilst doing a masters degree and is staying on as a Ministry Trainee. 

There are a number of initiatives in the pipeline, but that will do for now. Of course if you know anyone moving to Newcastle over the summer, or at the start of the next academic year, and think that we could serve them well put them in touch! If you are in the area pay us a visit.
