Prayer Update October 2004
Dear Friends,
We are pleased to give you some information about what’s happening here. The whole family are doing well. Joshua celebrated his 3rd birthday with some local friends on the 2nd of October. People here are starting harvesting the crops and we hope that it will be sufficient to sustain them until next rainy season. Fresh news:
- Thank you for praying for the students’ seminar which went very well. The number of people who attended surprised us.
- We began church services 3 weeks ago and are very encouraged. Over 60 people have regularly attended, most of whom were already connected with MIJ ( Ministère de Jésus). God heard your prayers. Thank you.
- We have a Sunday morning Bible study before church begins. The people are hungry for the word of God.
- We have 7 cell groups meeting on Tuesday nights throughout the town. We’ll start an 8th group soon. Please be praying for this new group especially as it will be 95% not yet Christian. It will be a challenge for the newly trained leader Dieu-donné.
- Jane is leading a girls cell group of 12 people. Please pray that God will help her to cross the cultural barriers and for good relationships to grow in the group.
- Sena was touched by one of our most dynamic cell groups of 20 who meet outside in the dark with just oil lamps and torches to read by. It was very moving experience.
Please pray with us that:
- God will continue to protect our family’s health
- The leaders we are training to grow in the knowledge of the Lord and to be good shepherds. We will have a day seminar on the 14th of October.
- God will provide more leaders for the work.
- The children workers and their 3 day seminar on the 29th through to 31st of October.
God will pour Unity and love among all the leaders of Ministère de Jésus and together we will follow his ways
