Prayer Update March 2005
Dear Friends,
Greetings from Togo. It is very hot at the moment. The temperature is over 35° C. We are missing your cold and your snow. We’re all doing well apart from Séna who has typhoid fever and is under treatment. By God’s grace it was quickly detected. The children are fine and it is great to see them playing together as Eloïse is a little bit older now. The ministry is encouraging us and we’re still praying for God to raise up more leaders in the church. Some fresh news:
- Sena and the church leaders attended a good month-long seminar on various topics. eg. Church planting, worship, historical books of the bible.
- Our newly planted cell in Natibogou area is going very well. Thanks for your prayers
- Jane has trained her co-leader, Claire to lead another girls’ cell group. This cell is in
Moba the local language and has started well. Please pray for Claire her in her new role.
- Jane and I will soon be giving our first marriage preparation course for one of our leaders
B and his fiancée. They are getting married the 2nd April. Please pray for them. May they be a strong couple for the church.
- We started our baptism course and are preparing for the baptism service on the 27th March. Quite a good number of people are attending the course. Please pray for them as we are counselling some for deep problems in their lives.
- The 27th March we will be putting the first stone for our future church building by faith. Please pray that the local people will contribute financially and physically and that God will help us to raise the necessary amount.
- Alcohol is a very big problem for all generations in Dapaong. The local beer is called “ Tchakpa”. It destroys many lives. We are counselling few people in the church with that addiction. Two of them are people I am counting on for leadership but finally discover the drinking problem. They are asking for help. Please pray that God will set them free.
- Sexual immorality is another problem. Since we have been here (about a year ) we have had already 3 cases to deal with. in the church. Oh! God help us. Please pray God will help us through our teaching and our exhortation. May He sanctify his church.
- Togo's president died on 5th February. Please pray for continuing peace and the political problems to be resolved. More info. on

We would like to thank you for your support and your faithfulness. May God’s peace and blessing be with you and your family.
