Prayer Update February 2008
Dear Friends
It's good to give thanks to God together for the good
things he is doing in our lives and acknowledge that
it is his grace alone which has held us together. We
had a good meeting with the endocrinologist on Friday.
We saw him to get the results of all the big tests I
have been doing this month. The good news is that
nothing else is wrong and the tests showed what was
expected in every other way. It means that the
specialist has finished with me and it's a case of
maintaining the condition for now and having 6 monthly
check ups as I would in this country. He is therefore
happy for me to return to Tanzania!
Meanwhile Bethany's specialist has finished all the
tests he can do and everything is normal so she is on
medicine for bowel spasms which we will keep trying to
wean her off periodically. She is much better and not
experiencing the distressing pain she was.
So we can start planning to move on. We praise God for
keeping us going to finally get to this point but
praise him more that there are no other medical
problems and the specialist doesn't anticipate any
changes in my condition.
Bethany finishes for half term this week and then we
will see some family in the north during the holiday
before we move back to Philip's parents. God willing
we will have 2 weeks to get organized and then if all
is well, we'll fly the first few days of March. We
will be able to have a few days rest when we get there
before returning to our house in Iringa.
Please pray for God's timing and wisdom as we make
plans.
Thank you for your faithful prayers. God has used them
in many ways. It has been a long, hard journey to get
to this complete diagnosis and resolution and it has
meant a lot to us to know you have been travelling
with us as you prayed. Praise Him.
love
