John and Anne served for 9 years as Crosslinks mission partners in Tanzania. After this they returned to the UK and John worked for 24 years providing resources for pastors and colleges in over 100 countries. Three years ago the synod in Tanzania requested that John return. They needed someone with an in depth knowledge of the country and an ability to ‘get things going’. In August 2003 he was consecrated Bishop.

Kiteto is isolated and with no tarmac road or bridges travel is always difficult. However John continues to make regular visits to the 100 churches in the area. New churches are being built at a rate of around one each month and over 200 people are in training to work full time as pastors or evangelists.
