Nelson, Edward and Laura, France Edward and Laura live in Paris where Edward works as a Travelling Secretary for Evangelism with the Groupes Bibliques Universitaires (GBU, French student Christian union). Laura is at home with their two little boys, Nicolas and Samuel. Click here to read a feature about the work they are involved in. This is reproduced by kind permission of CMS Australia, originally published in their magazine "Checkpoint" for Spring 2003 Edward focuses on evangelism and Bible teaching in the Paris area and elsewhere in France, seeking to make the gospel known and raise up workers for God's harvest. He is currently involved in a project to support a new Christian student group in Luxembourg. Edward and Laura also run bilingual summer camps for teens in the Loire Valley (click here to visit the interaction camps web site). Edward has been leading a preachers' club, to train up gifted students and young graduates to teach God's Word. Edward was born in the US (the state of Indiana), to a French mother and American father. Laura is entirely English and grew up in Dorset. They met in Oxford where they both studied theology (Edward having already done a degree in Political Economy in the US) and then both worked as Apprentices at St Ebbe’s church. Edward split his time at St Ebbe’s with the Cornhill training course, over two years. After her time in Oxford, Laura moved to London to work with a church plant, The Bible Talks, Christchurch, Mayfair, while attacking an MA in theology at Oak Hill (part time). Edward followed a year later, doing his MA full time while Laura was in her second year. After getting married in January 2002, they moved to Paris in September. Nicolas was born in November 2003, Samuel in October 2005. written 1 Dec 2007: "We give great thanks to God for Alexandre Joseph, who arrived, with an impeccable sense of timing, at 3am on Monday 26th November."
