Gill is the Country Director of Oasis Uganda, a locally registered NGO which was set up to run projects which provide holistic care to vulnerable and destitute children and their families in
slum areas. She first went to Uganda under a SMILE / Oasis joint venture in 2001, and consequently returned in 2002 to work full-time with the Bambejja Programme, Oasis' biggest project, which focuses on caring for vulnerable and orphaned girls. Oasis also runs Net2Work, providing IT training to out-of-school youth, and Beersheba, providing holistic care to vulnerable girls and the wider community in Mbale, Eastern Uganda.
Her husband Carlos is actively involved in sports ministry both in their church and with other organisations in a voluntary part-time capacity, while he develops a business providing computer networking and
web design.
We are grateful for a team of churches, individuals and trusts that support the work of Crosslinks and Gill personally. In 2007 we were pleased to have the support of Irish Aid for Gill.
