Whilst Serbia is Orthodox by culture and tradition, there is a tiny evangelical church that is about 0.1% of the population. Due to past persecution, these churches are often very small and insular, with a severe lack of practical training resources to empower and equip church members and their leaders. There is also a fast growing need among poor, illiterate minorities like the Roma. Large numbers of them are becoming Christians, but many aren’t given the chance to train and go on to teach others, as their illiteracy isn’t catered for.
